About Agent Kootex.Com

Here you will find textual information regarding Agent Kootex.com, Agent Kootex "the comic!" and it's long-haired, vertically-challenged creator, Kevin Lieber.

This is the 3rd incarnation of Agent Kootex.Com. The first two versions can be viewed by clicking on their respective pictures to the right.

The first website was created in an intro HTML class I took at the outrageously prestigious college of SUNY Fredonia. The site looked like crap, smelled like crap, and tasted like a chocolate-covered bucket of crap flakes.

That website was primarily built to showcase the comics of Season 1 which were created as a collaboration between myself (writer) and a friend and cartoonist I met at Fredonia named Jeff Walton (artist).

The comic, itself, began after I found a random doodle of a tampon-man with a helmet named, "Agent Kotex" that I made during class. I made several silly comics out of the character and approached Jeff about joining forces and creating a weekly comic for the school newspaper.

After the first comic was printed, the school newspaper forced me to change the name because "Kotex" could violate copyright laws. So I added a frikkin' "O" and called it a day.

When Jeff Walton graduated school, Nicolette Ender took over drawing duties. She would go on to do the art for comics 8-29 and taught me a lot about drawing comics.

I designed the concept for the second website and asked Matt McCardell to create and code the actual layout for it. It was a very cartoony and fun looking website but impractical in that it involved a lot of scrolling on the user's part.

And no one likes to frikkin' SCROLL.

Eventually Nicolette's workload at school forced her to resign as Agent Kootex artist. And after months of suggesting that I just draw the damn comic myself.....

I began to just draw the damn comic myself.

I am now the editor of the comic section at my college newspaper where Agent Kootex's ball's dropped,
The Leader.
